A Visionary Subsurface Solutions SUE crew performed a Quality Level B investigation in support of a proposed Tesla charging station installation at a Wegmans Grocery Store in Sterling, Virginia. The scope of work included the use of electromagnetic utility locating equipment and ground penetrating radar (GPR) to designate and map existing underground utilities within the planned construction area. Detected utilities were marked on the ground surface and surveyed to establish accurate horizontal positioning, helping to identify potential conflicts with the proposed charging infrastructure. The completed SUE deliverable provides a reliable depiction of subsurface utility conditions, allowing the design team to make informed decisions, reduce risk, and minimize the likelihood of utility conflicts during construction.
